The Pune Knowledge Cluster, in collaboration with Maha-Metro, Centre for Environment Education (CEE) India, and Save Pune Traffic Movement (SPTM), launched a comprehensive pilot study – WBC&M: Walk, Bus, Cycle & Metro – Citizen Connect, in May 2025 to boost Pune Metro ridership and address last-mile connectivity challenges. This study is designed to understand commuter behaviour, identify barriers to metro adoption and recommend actionable interventions across infrastructure and service delivery.
