Type of Engagement: Full Time
We are seeking experienced technical and managerial experts to be part of a Mission
Program Management Unit (M-PMU) for the national government anchored Mission
program. The Assistant Managers will be the operational backbone of the Mission-PMU and
manage specific vertical-based functions such as project tracking, reporting, documentation,
compliance, capacity building, and outreach.
Role Overview: Assistant Managers will be the operational backbone of the Mission. Manage specific vertical-based functions such as project tracking, reporting,
documentation, compliance, capacity building, and outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
● Track project progress against defined milestones and metrics using customized
templates.
● Drive outreach initiatives, including organizing industry-academia technical
workshops and international conferences.
● Drive social media (including content creation) and other forms of outreach to
showcase the highlights of the Mission program.
● Facilitate administrative functions like contracts, MoUs and commercial agreements.
● Prepare comprehensive quarterly and annual progress reports in standardized
formats for the government body and governance committees.
● Ensure technical quality and relevance of project outputs, such as impact
assessments and policy briefs.
● Complement the government body’s administrative functions by managing
contracts, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), and commercial agreements.
Educational Background: Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field
(Engineering/Science preferred for technical project management and monitoring;
Management/Communications preferred for outreach).
Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in project management, documentation, capacity
building and coordinating multi-stakeholder workshops and outreach.
Areas of Expertise: Data collation and report writing, project management, event
management, digital marketing/social media tracking, and basic legal/administrative
compliance tracking.
