Teach with Tech

Teach with Tech is an initiative of the Pune Knowledge Cluster (PKC) in collaboration with the Lenovo India. This program aims to provide an opportunity for students and teachers to access and adopt digital content related to Science, Mathematics, and technology.

Teach with Tech is an initiative of the Pune Knowledge Cluster (PKC) in collaboration with the Lenovo India. This program aims to provide an opportunity for students and teachers to access and adopt digital content related to Science, Mathematics, and technology. It will help to enhance the curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities of students. In this process, teachers will be empowered to use digital pedagogy in teaching. Students will gain an approach to inquiry-based, active learning, and collaborative learning, thus enhancing their 21st -century skills (critical thinking, problem-solving skills, curiosity, etc.)

Description

Teach with Tech  is a two-tier STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) program for school students from 6th to 9th grade and their teachers. We aim to work with schools from the Pune district and train teachers and students to use technology-oriented methods for teaching and learning that are creative, inquiry-based, hands-on, and value-building using digital technology, thus enhancing curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities in students.

Train teachers to use the latest digital pedagogical techniques and use technology to teach effectively. These teachers will then become facilitators who provoke learners to think and scaffold the learning process.

Objectives

Students will gain an approach to inquiry-based, active learning, and collaborative learning, thus enhancing their 21st -century skills (critical thinking, problem-solving skills, curiosity, etc.)

  • Training for students and teachers using tablets
  • Sharing of e-learning resources repository
  • Monthly one session in each of the selected school

Impact

  • Exposure to digital tools and technology in the teaching-learning process.
  • The training would culminate in improvement in 21st-Century skills like Critical thinking, problem-solving, logical reasoning, analytical ability, collaborative learning skills.

Over a span of one year, we plan to train 750 students and 250 teachers from Zilla Parishad schools in the Pune district.
