Outbreaks of infectious diseases have been on the rise in Pune, a city with diverse and fluctuating communities with differential access to nutrition and healthcare. Under the Health vertical, PKC proposed to establish collaborations to aid in understanding the prevalence of infectious diseases using vector dynamics and viral epidemics. Data will be collected at city-level and analyzed to understand its correlation with outbreaks and design better preventive measures the outbreaks and design better preventive measures.

Mapping of Dengue Incidence in Hospitals
This study is being done to estimate disease incidence in the city to predict true disease spread and support in building a surveillance system for dengue and dengue-like diseases. The study sites are BJ Government Medical College & Noble Hospitals and Research Centre.
Building an early warning system for dengue
A Dengue dashboard for Pune is being built in collaboration with ARTPARK. This dashboard will be made available to government stakeholders and will be updated on a regular basis.
